Born in Trail, B.C., Canada, Dianne Comba has been an Alberta resident since 1961.

Residing in Ft. McMurray, Alberta between 1966 and 1979, Dianne worked in oils and acrylics. Under the tutelage of Banff School of Fine Arts and University of Alberta instructor Ilda Lubane, she studied art history, design, drawing and painting. Dianne was one of the founding members of the Fort McMurray Art Club, and served on its executive for eight of her ten years in the club.

In 1979 Dianne returned to Calgary and, after a five year absence from painting, began again – adding watercolour as a new medium. She has participated in workshops led by Helen Hadala, Laural Cormack, David More, Brent Laycock, Ann Hunter, and Jean Pederson.

Dianne Comba presently resides in the Valley Ridge area of Calgary and works in various media: acrylic; pen & ink; watercolour; mixed; and some oil.
